How it all started...
In November 2010, Curtis and Debora Kimbrough stood in front of four families (Denis, Wells-Reid, Brannan-Velasquez, and Kimbrough) at a Training Center in Vancouver, WA, to cast the vision for a new church.
They said, “Vancouver does not need another church. What Vancouver does need is a safe and loving environment where all nationalities, most importantly the unchurched, can come experience the awesome power of God and hear the life-changing truth that Jesus Christ cares for them and died for their sin.” After hearing this message, Darrell Kimbrough gave his heart to Christ. So began Unity Church.
For the first two months of its existence, the congregation of Unity met every Monday night at the Training Center until Emmanuel Church extended an offer to worship at their East Campus. Despite many obstacles, UC’s theme scripture, Ephesians 67:10, “Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord in the power of his might,” resonated in the hearts of our leaders, Curtis and Debora.
God’s provision was at every step. The February opening target date was soon approaching and yet no building; however, they walked in faith knowing God was always on time. God confirmed the location at 705 SE Parkcrest Avenue, Suite-340, Vancouver, WA., through dreams and the assistance of James, Beatriz, LaKesha, and Randy.

Expanding the vision...
The official opening was held on February 11, 2011. Currently, we have over 130 members including children. In November 2014, Unity officially became the Unity Family Church. We envision the Unity Family Church as a dynamic, spirit-filled, multi-cultural church, numbering in the thousands, impacting our community, our city, our nation, and our world through leadership development, service, and generosity.
Throughout the years, we have fed the homeless, held a monthly service in the Cascade Senior Center, raised funds for numerous missions, held several community events to reach the lost, and much more to accomplish our mission to bring family, church, and community together to KNOW GOD, FREEDOM, DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE, AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Where we are headed...
Also in November 2014, believing in God and trusting that greatness is ahead for us, UFC made a decision to transition out of the Parkcrest property. Today, God has led us to worship at East Woods Presbyterian Church, Vancouver, WA. To continue our worship services. UFC is a loving place of refuge, restoration, and revival to effect change in the Kingdom of God.
UFC has drawn up plans for our future site also known as the UC Hub. In the meantime, We will continue to mount up in a faith that pleases God, moving forward in strength and victory. We will stand firm believing in receiving the fulfillment of every promise God has made to us.
